Job summary

KSB Company is seeking a senior software engineer in Pune to design, build, and scale industrial IoT solutions across frontend, backend, and cloud. You will develop RESTful APIs, implement microservices, and deploy cloud-native services on AWS, including Lambda, while upholding strong code quality and CI/CD practices.

You will collaborate with product, UX, DevOps, and architecture teams, contributing to decisions and continuous improvement in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with React.js for frontend development.
• Backend experience with Node.js and/or .NET Core.
• Experience with AWS Cloud services, especially AWS Lambda.
• Understanding of microservices and distributed system design.
• Experience with event-driven and messaging systems (Kafka).
• Proficiency with GitLab including CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong APIs, cloud environments, and DevOps concepts.
• Ability to work independently with a pragmatic, problem-solving mindset.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end IoT applications (frontend, backend, and cloud services)

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using Node.js and/or .NET Core

• Implement modern, responsive, and reusable UI components using React.js

• Design and deploy cloud-native services on AWS , including AWS Lambda and related services

• Ensure high code quality through clean architecture, unit testing, and code reviews

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab

• Work with microservices and distributed architectures

• Integrate and manage messaging and event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka)

• Collaborate closely with product, UX, DevOps, and architecture teams

• Actively contribute to technical decisions, best practices, and continuous improvement

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with React.js for frontend development

• Solid backend development experience with Node.js and/or .NET Core

• Practical experience with AWS Cloud services , especially AWS Lambda

• Good understanding of microservices and distributed system design

• Experience with event-driven and messaging systems (Kafka preferred)

• Proficient with GitLab , including CI/CD pipelines and merge request workflows

• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Strong understanding of APIs, cloud environments, and DevOps concepts

• Ability to work independently with a pragmatic, problem-solving mindset

Nice to Have

• Experience in IoT platforms, device integration, or telemetry data processing

• Exposure to infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)

• Knowledge of security best practices in cloud and distributed systems

• Experience working in agile / scaled agile environments
