Job summary

EazyIoT in Mumbai is seeking an Embedded Hardware Lead to own end-to-end hardware development for IoT products, from concept and architecture through to production.

You will design analog and digital circuits, MCU-based hardware, power supplies, and interfaces; develop schematics and 4-layer PCBs, bring-up, debugging and validation; mentor junior engineers and collaborate with firmware, mechanical, QA and manufacturing teams to deliver production-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electronics or related discipline.
• 4–8 years of relevant electronics/IoT hardware experience.
• Strong analog and digital circuit design skills.
• MCU-based hardware design experience, preferably ARM Cortex-M.
• 4-layer high-speed PCB design experience.
• Experience with EMI/EMC, ESD, surge protection and signal integrity.
• Ability to own hardware development and solve complex issues.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end hardware development for IoT products, from concept to production.

• PCB bring-up, debugging, validation and hardware troubleshooting.
• Select components, verify BOMs and evaluate alternates/second-source parts.
• Design robust hardware for industrial environments with EMI/ESD protections.
• Develop and execute hardware validation, reliability and production-readiness processes.
• Design test jigs and fixtures for production testing.
• Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, QA, manufacturing and product teams.
• Support DFM/DFA, NPI, ramp-up and field issue resolution.
• Mentor junior engineers and improve hardware design processes.

We are seeking an Embedded Hardware Lead to own end-to-end hardware development for our IoT products, from concept and architecture through to production.

• Own end-to-end hardware development for IoT products, from concept and architecture through to production.
• Design analog and digital circuits, MCU-based hardware, power supplies and peripheral interfaces.
• Develop schematics and upto 4-layer PCB layouts, including mixed-signal and RF communication interfaces.
• Perform PCB bring-up, debugging, functional validation and hardware troubleshooting.
• Select components, verify BOMs and evaluate alternate/second-source components.
• Design robust hardware for industrial environments, accounting for unstable voltage, ESD, surge, EMI/EMC and electrical noise.
• Develop and execute hardware validation, reliability and production-readiness processes.
• Design test jigs, fixtures and test setups for production testing and validation.
• Work closely with firmware, mechanical, QA, manufacturing and product teams to deliver production-ready products.
• Support DFM/DFA, NPI, manufacturing ramp-up and resolution of production/field failures.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to improving hardware design and development processes.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in analog and digital circuit design.
• Power supply design: buck, boost, LDO, AC-DC converters and power management.
• MCU-based hardware design, preferably ARM Cortex-M.
• Strong understanding of 4-layer, high-speed and mixed-signal PCB design.
• Experience with hardware bring-up and debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, power supplies, etc.
• Understanding of interfaces such as UART, SPI, I²C, CAN, RS-485, USB or similar.
• Knowledge of IoT communication technologies such as Wi-Fi, BLE, Cellular, LoRa/LoRaWAN, Zigbee or similar.
• Good understanding of EMI/EMC, ESD, surge protection, grounding, shielding and signal integrity.
• Experience in component selection, BOM management and alternate-part qualification.
• 4–8 years of relevant experience in electronics, embedded hardware or IoT product development.
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electronics or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical, debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently own hardware development and resolve complex technical issues.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Quick learner with a strong sense of ownership and a product-development mindset.
