Job summary

Brainstorm Infotech in Bengaluru seeks a skilled Modeler to create accurate 3D models from structural and architectural drawings, in line with contract standards. You will coordinate with Project Managers and Checkers to ensure timely delivery.

Responsibilities include Tekla Structures and AutoCAD proficiency, knowledge of AISC/CISC standards, modeling main steel and miscellaneous structures, interpreting drawings, generating clear fabrication drawings, and supporting RFI activity.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Tekla Structures and AutoCAD is required.
• Familiarity with AISC and CISC standards.
• Excellent understanding of main steel and miscellaneous structures (stairs, ladders, rails, gates, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Project Managers and Checkers to deliver models on schedule.
• Interpret architectural and structural drawings and specifications to create accurate Tekla models.
• Gather information from drawings and sources to produce complete Tekla models as per contract drawings.
• Understand simple connection design and produce clear, complete models for fabrication drawings.
• Furnish drawings for approval and fabrication and respond to client queries on projects.

Job description

RoleDescription : The Modeler is responsible for creating accurate 3D models from the Structural and/or Architectural design drawings. The models created must be in accordance with the contract specified standards. The Modeler must coordinate effectively with Project Managers and Checkers.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of latest Tekla structures, AUTO CAD
• Knowledge of AISC and CISC standards
• Excellent knowledge of Main Steel and Miscellaneous Structures (Stairs, ladders, Rails, Gates, etc.)
• Ability to interpret and understand architectural drawings, structural drawings and specifications
• Gather necessary information from various available sources and create accurate and complete Tekla Models as per contract drawings
• Understand engineering of simple connection design and produce clear, concise and complete models
• Furnish drawings for approval and fabrication
• Generation and tracking of RFI's by reviewing contract drawings
• Work with custom connection applications, connections & marking plans
• Answer client queries on assigned projects
• Must be self-motivated to manage, coordinate and facilitate multiple initiatives in a dynamic environment
• Must be a team player to collaborate and achieve common goals as a coherent team
• Ability to work and deliver as Project timelines and schedules demand
• Knowledge of OSHA, NISD & AWS would be an added advantage
