Job summary

Talent Hired-the Job Store is seeking a skilled tester to carry out routine HV and PD lab operations on RMU and GIS panels in Nashik district, adhering to IEC/IS standards, quality and safety.

You will verify panels, document reports, raise non-conformities, and support continual improvement; 2–4 years of relevant experience and a Diploma in Electrical Engineering are essential.

Qualifications

• DEE diploma in electrical engineering required.
• 2–4 years of HV/PD testing experience.
• Familiar with IEC 62271 standards and quality procedures.
• Awareness of CAPA and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine HV and PD testing on RMU and GIS panels per IEC/IS standards.
• Verify panels against BOM and drawings; document test results.
• Raise non-conformances to suppliers and support CAPA activities.
• Monitor test bed issues and seek continuous improvements.
• Coordinate with Production, Design and QA teams for issue resolution.
• Maintain calibration records of test instruments.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

Testing of RMU panel testing as per IEC 62271-100,200

PD (Partial Discharge) testing and Lab Day to day operation for RMU & GIS tank.

Raising of NC to supplier and compliance with CAPA

Monitoring of the Test bed issue and continuous improvement on small issues.

Job Purpose
To carry out routine testing, HV test & PD lab operation on RMU (Ring Main Unit) and GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) panels as per IEC/IS standards, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and customer requirements.

Daily testing of panels & scheme testing as per specification / standards.

HV testing of RMU & GIS tank

PD testing of RMU & GIS tank.

Key Accountabilities

Testing & Inspection

• Verification of panels as per BOM, testing of RMU/ GIS panels as per IEC 62271.


• Perform routine and high-voltage tests on AIS, GIS, and RMU panels (e.g., HV withstand, partial discharge, insulation resistance, contact resistance, CT/PT testing, SF6 gas leakage, functional checks).


• Document test reports and communicate results with internal teams and customers

Quality & Compliance

• Verify panels against approved drawings, customer specifications, and quality plans.


• Identify, record and report non-conformities, assist in root cause analysis, and support corrective & preventive actions.


• Ensure adherence to safety standards during high-voltage and routine testing.

Coordination & Support

• Coordinate with Production, Design, and Quality Assurance teams for timely issue resolution.


• Support customer inspections.

Continuous Improvement

• Shall knowledge of the problem-solving tools like CED, Why- WHY analysis and 8D format


• Suggest improvements in testing methods, tools, and processes.


• Maintain calibration records of test instruments.
