Qualifications

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in motion graphics, animation or video design.
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe After Effects.
• Good knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop, with basic knowledge of Premiere Pro.
• Knowledge of Cinema 4D, Blender, Figma is an advantage.
• Strong portfolio/showreel demonstrating motion-design and animation skills is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Create and animate 2D motion graphics, typography, titles, infographics, diagrams, data visualisations and transitions.
• Integrate motion graphics with interviews, live-action footage, voice-over and edited sequences.
• Apply timing, movement, composition and animation fundamentals.
• Understand briefs and translate content into visual treatments, storyboards and animatics.
• Maintain ISB's visual identity across outputs and collaborate with editors and producers.

Junior Motion Graphics Designer / Animator

Reports to: Senior Manager, Post-Production

Role Overview

ISB Studios is looking for a Junior Motion Graphics Designer / Animator with strong design fundamentals, animation skills and an interest in visual storytelling.

The role requires the ability to understand content, interpret creative briefs and translate ideas into storyboards, visual concepts and engaging animation.

Key Responsibilities

Motion Graphics & Animation

• Create and animate 2D motion graphics, typography, titles, infographics, diagrams, data visualisations and transitions.
• Integrate motion graphics effectively with interviews, live-action footage, voice-over and edited sequences.
• Apply strong fundamentals of timing, movement, composition and animation.

Content & Visual Storytelling

• Understand scripts, briefs and source material before developing visual treatments.
• Translate complex information into clear and engaging visual communication.
• Time graphics and animation to support the content rather than use motion purely for visual impact.

Storyboarding & Design

• Develop mood boards, style frames, storyboards and animatics where required.
• Apply strong fundamentals of typography, colour, composition, hierarchy and layout.
• Maintain ISB's visual identity across all motion-design outputs.
• Work closely with editors, producers, designers and creative leads.
• Incorporate feedback effectively and manage revisions within timelines.
• Adapt assets across formats including 16:9, 9:16 and 1:1.
• Maintain organised project files, assets and versions.

Learning & Emerging Tools

• Stay updated on motion-design trends, animation techniques and emerging creative technologies.
• Explore responsible use of AI-assisted tools for ideation, storyboarding, asset creation and production efficiency.

Skills & Experience
