Job summary

Sportainment Engineering and Design LLP in Noida is seeking a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer / GET to join the design team. You will develop 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, and prepare manufacturing drawings for mechanical systems used in trampoline parks and related equipment.

You will work with experienced engineers to design, detail, document and optimize products, ensuring manufacturability and accuracy. Fresh graduates are encouraged; 1–2 years' exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Freshers / GETs encouraged to apply.
• 1–2 years of experience in mechanical design/drafting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Develop 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical components, assemblies, and structures using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Prepare detailed manufacturing, fabrication, assembly drawings and engineering documentation.
• Assist in design and development of new products and mechanical systems from concept to production.
• Understand design requirements, engineering specifications, dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements.
• Collaborate with Design, Engineering, Production, and cross-functional teams.
• Review drawings and models for accuracy, manufacturability, functionality and design intent.
• Support design modifications, engineering changes, and continuous improvement.
• Identify opportunities for design optimization, material utilization, cost reduction and manufacturability.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing teams; maintain revision control and documentation.
• Follow engineering standards, safety requirements and company design procedures.

Position Overview

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Junior Mechanical Design Engineer / GET to join our Design team in Noida.

Our company specializes in the design and manufacturing of trampoline parks, gymnastics equipment, indoor recreational structures, and related mechanical systems, with our manufacturing operations based in the Asia Europe & USA.

The selected candidate will work closely with experienced design engineers and contribute to the design, development, detailing, and documentation of innovative mechanical products and systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for a fresher or a young engineer with 1–2 years of experience who wants to build a strong career in mechanical design and product development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical components, assemblies, and structures using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Assist in the design and development of new products and mechanical systems from concept to production.
• Understand design requirements, engineering specifications, dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements.
• Collaborate with the Design, Engineering, Production, and other cross-functional teams to ensure designs are practical and production-ready.
• Review drawings and models for accuracy, manufacturability, functionality, and design intent.
• Support design modifications, engineering changes, and continuous improvement activities.
• Assist in identifying opportunities for design optimization, material utilization, cost reduction, and improved manufacturability.
• Provide technical support and clarification to manufacturing teams whenever required.
• Maintain proper revision control and engineering documentation.
• Follow applicable engineering standards, safety requirements, and company design procedures.

Required Technical Skills

• B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Freshers / GETs with strong fundamentals are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates with 1–2 years of experience in mechanical design/drafting will be preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks is highly desirable.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Understanding of 3D modeling, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings.
• Basic understanding of engineering drawing, GD&T, tolerances, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Good understanding of fundamental mechanical engineering principles.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to understand design requirements and convert concepts into practical engineering solutions.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment

Good to Have

• Knowledge of PDM / document management systems.
• Exposure to fabrication, sheet metal, structural components, or mechanical assemblies.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes such as cutting, bending, welding, machining, and fabrication.
• Experience working with international engineering/manufacturing teams.Basic knowledge of design for manufacturing (DFM) and design optimization.
