Digichorus Technologies Pvt Ltd in Pune is seeking a motivated Software Engineer to join our backend team. You will develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Java 17 and Spring Boot, focusing on secure, scalable solutions for Banking/FinTech projects.

You will implement RESTful APIs with Spring MVC, work with relational databases via Spring Data JPA or Hibernate, and collaborate with senior developers and QA to ensure code quality and timely delivery. 0–1 year experience preferred.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Java Developer with a strong foundation in Java programming and a good understanding of Spring Boot and overall backend application development. The candidate will gain exposure to diverse business domains, with a primary focus on Banking and FinTech projects, contributing to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of secure and scalable applications.

• Roles and responsibilities:
• Develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Apply object-oriented programming concepts and Java 17 features in development tasks.
• Build RESTful APIs and understand request-response handling using Spring MVC.
• Work with databases, write SQL queries, and understand database integration using Spring Data JPA or Hibernate.
• Assist in implementing business logic, validations, exception handling, and application-level security.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, unit testing, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with senior developers, QA engineers, and business teams to understand project requirements.

Required Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of Java 17, including Core Java, object-oriented programming, Collections Framework, exception handling, and basic multithreading concepts.
• Understanding of Spring Boot 4 application development, dependency injection, auto configuration, and REST API development.
• Good understanding of Spring MVC, including the MVC architecture, controllers, request mapping, and request-response handling.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, status codes, JSON, and API integration.
• Basic understanding of relational databases, SQL queries, database connectivity.
• Understanding of unit testing concepts will be an added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline, or MCA/MSc Computer Science.
• Academic projects, internships, or personal projects involving Java and Spring Boot.
• Basic awareness of banking or FinTech concepts such as transactions, payment processing, account management, and data security.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
