Job summary

Flex in Chennai is seeking a Junior Financial Analyst - Cost Accounting Solutions to support cost accounting activities and ERP postings. The role offers exposure to standard costing, GAAP-like practices, and process improvements in a dynamic manufacturing setting.

Fresh finance graduates with strong MS Office skills and excellent English communication will collaborate with the operations team to drive cost efficiencies, maintain SOPs in the DMS, and learn to serve as a backup for the cost

Qualifications

• Basic level knowledge in MS applications.
• Excellent oral & written communication in English.
• Good team player with analytical skills.
• Willingness to learn and apply new skills.
• B.Com / BBA (Finance) or M.Com / MBA (Finance), Freshers or 0-2 years in finance.
• MS Office knowledge and understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Perform all cost accounting activities defined.
• Understand policy and follow key cost accounting metrics.
• Implement time-saving and cost-reducing initiatives.
• Work with operations to track metric non-conformances through regular follow ups.
• Post month-end journal entries related to accruals and reclass in ERP.
• Prepare and maintain SOPs aligned with latest processes and document in DMS.
• Learn and serve as a backup for cost accountant.

What a typical day looks like:

• Perform all cost accounting activities that are defined
• Understand the corporate policy and follow-up of key cost accounting metrics
• Implement time saving/cost reducing initiatives through pocket kaizens & process improvements
• Work along with operations team & track reasons for metric non-conformances through regular follow ups
• Posting month end journal entries related to accruals and reclass in ERP
• Prepare & maintain SOP in line with the latest process and document them in DMS
• To learn & serve as a backup for cost accountant.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
