Job Title: Junior Engineering Technician - Mechanical

Job Summary

Functions in an entry level capacity. Under close supervision, supports engineering teams by performing technical tasks that require basic knowledge of engineering principles and practices. Utilizes digital tools, design software (CAD, BIM, 3D tools, etc.), and standardized procedures to assist in the creation, modification, and maintenance of technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and maintain a working knowledge of standards, systems, document control, departmental guides and BV policies and procedures.
• Ensure that deliverables are accurate and compliant by understanding and applying the BV Quality Program.
• Demonstrate personal accuracy and support continuous improvement and change management efforts.
• Modify less complex deliverables based on a variety of design inputs.
• Identify the needs of internal clients and gain a basic understanding of external clients’ main interests and drivers.
• Proactively seek and share knowledge of the latest technologies and processes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate preferred.
• Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
