Job summary

Black & Veatch Family of Companies in Mumbai seeks an Associate Engineering Technician - Civil(Water) to support engineering teams by producing and maintaining technical drawings and documents using CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling tools.

Under supervision, you will learn BV quality standards, assist with design inputs, perform basic quantity estimates and dimensional checks, and coordinate deliverables with other groups while focusing on internal clients' needs.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in drafting or engineering design technology preferred.
• Associate degree in drafting or engineering design technology preferred.
• Minimum 2 years related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Continues to learn and remains current on standards, BV Quality Program and procedures.
• Begins to proactively apply knowledge of BV Quality Program to ensure deliverables are accurate and compliant.
• Create and develop deliverables based on a variety of design inputs; may perform basic computations such as material quantity estimates and dimensional checks.
• Assist in coordinating deliverables with other groups involved on the same project to minimize interference or errors.
• Focus on the needs of internal clients while gaining basic understanding of external client's main interests and drivers.
• Proactively seeks and shares knowledge of latest technologies and processes.

Job Summary

Under general supervision, supports engineering teams by performing technical tasks that require an intermediate understanding of engineering principles and practices. Utilizes digital tools and design software (e.g., CAD, BIM, 3D modeling) to create, modify, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables. May begin to provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineering technicians.

Key Responsibilities

Continues to learn and remains current on standards, systems, document control, departmental guides and BV policies and procedures.Begins to proactively apply knowledge of the BV Quality Program to ensure that the deliverables are accurate and compliant. Demonstrates personal accuracy and supports continuous improvement and change management efforts.Broadening the use of applications to learn to continuously evaluate and improve methods, processes and procedures used to accomplish deliverables. Create and develop deliverables based on a variety of design inputs. May perform basic computations such as material quantity estimates and dimensional checks.Assist in coordinating deliverables with other groups involved on the same project to minimize interference or errors.Focuses on the needs of internal clients while gaining basic understanding of external client's main interests and drivers.Proactively seeks and shares knowledge of latest technologies and processes

Management Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

Diploma or Certificate preferred. Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.

Minimum Qualifications
