Job summary

Black & Veatch Family of Companies in Mumbai, India, seeks an Associate Engineering Technician - Mechanical(Water) on a one-year contract to support engineering teams with CAD/BIM tasks and technical documentation.

Under supervision, you will create and modify drawings, perform basic dimensional checks, and help ensure compliance with BV Quality Program while gaining guidance from more experienced technicians.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Drafting or Engineering Design preferred.
• Associate Degree in Drafting or Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
• Experience in MEP Domain is a must.
• HVAC and Plumbing experience is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Continues to learn and remains current on BV standards, policies and document control; applies BV Quality Program to deliverables.
• Create and develop deliverables from design inputs; perform basic material quantity estimates and dimensional checks.
• Coordinate deliverables with other groups to minimize interference or errors.
• Share knowledge of latest technologies and processes to improve methods and procedures.

Job Summary

Under general supervision, supports engineering teams by performing technical tasks that require an intermediate understanding of engineering principles and practices. Utilizes digital tools and design software (e.g., CAD, BIM, 3D modeling) to create, modify, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables. May begin to provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineering technicians.

Key Responsibilities

Continues to learn and remains current on standards, systems, document control, departmental guides and BV policies and procedures.Begins to proactively apply knowledge of the BV Quality Program to ensure that the deliverables are accurate and compliant. Demonstrates personal accuracy and supports continuous improvement and change management efforts.Broadening the use of applications to learn to continuously evaluate and improve methods, processes and procedures used to accomplish deliverables. Create and develop deliverables based on a variety of design inputs. May perform basic computations such as material quantity estimates and dimensional checks.Assist in coordinating deliverables with other groups involved on the same project to minimize interference or errors.Focuses on the needs of internal clients while gaining basic understanding of external client's main interests and drivers.Proactively seeks and shares knowledge of latest technologies and processes

Management Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

Diploma or Certificate preferred. Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.

• Experience in MEP Domain is must.
• Should have experience with Revit Software.
• Experience is HVAC & Plumbing is mandatory.
• Minimum experience of 5 years, maximum 20 years.
• Experience in Water Supply and Wastewater Treatment (Sewerage), Water and Wastewater (Sewage) Pumping Stations, Water Wastewater Treatment Plants is an added advantage.

This is one year contract on third party.

Minimum Qualifications

Typically a minimum of 2 years related work experience.All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
