Smart Freight Centre (SFC) in New Delhi seeks a Junior Communications Manager to support content, digital platforms, visuals, and campaigns. You will work with the India team to translate sustainability work into clear, engaging communications for local and global audiences.
You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and the global team, taking ownership of projects while gaining experience in corporate communications in climate and sustainability.

SFC India is building a platform to support the decarbonization of India's freight ecosystem across road, rail, maritime and aviation. We convene government ministries, regulators, industry leaders, research institutions, and global climate actors to accelerate the transition toward greener freight systems. Our ambition is to build a credible and scalable Green Freight platform for India, delivering impact at national scale.
You will work at the intersection of communications, climate action and the freight sector, helping translate SFC India's work into clear and engaging stories for different audiences. The role offers exposure to both India and global communications, with opportunities to work across content, digital communications, design and campaigns.
As Junior Communications Manager, you will work with the Communications Manager, India, to deliver SFC India's communications across content, digital platforms, visual communications and campaigns. You will develop content, create visual assets, coordinate digital publishing, and deliver communications for events and key initiatives. You will also work with internal teams and the global communications team to gather information and coordinate communications activities. The role offers the opportunity to take ownership of assigned projects while developing experience across corporate communications in the climate and sustainability space.
Support the India Communications team in implementing SFC India's communications strategy, campaigns and communications calendar Coordinate with internal teams to gather information and develop clear, engaging communication materials Develop communications materials including LinkedIn posts, newsletters, website content, announcements, presentations, one-pagers, blogs, case studies and other content Manage SFC India's LinkedIn channel, including content planning, scheduling, publishing and basic performance monitoring. Manage regular updates and content for the SFC India website, coordinating with relevant teams to ensure information is accurate , timely and up to date. Create simple, professional and on-brand communication materials using Canva , photoshop or similar design tools, including social media creatives, videos, presentations, event banners, one- pagers and infographics Ensure communications materials are aligned with SFC's brand guidelines, messaging and tone of voice. Coordinate communications for events, webinars, workshops and stakeholder engagements, including invitations, event materials and post-event amplification. Research relevant industry news, trends and conversations across freight, logistics , transport, climate and sustainability to identify content and communications opportunities Maintain communications trackers, social media calendars, and campaign documentation Coordinate with the SFC global communications team and internal stakeholders to align messaging and deliver communications outputs on time.
We welcome candidates with 2-3 years of experience in communications, corporate communications, content, digital communications, marketing communications or a related field Education Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Media Studies or a related discipline
