Job summary

Lovemadeedible in Bengaluru's Haralur area is seeking a Junior Cake Engineer to join our bakery team. This full-time position is ideal for someone with at least one year of hands-on bakery experience and a baking, pâtisserie, or hotel-management course who wants to grow into cakes and decorations.

You will work alongside our senior cake team—preparing sponges, fillings and frostings, assembling and finishing cakes, and learning decoration techniques on the job.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare cake batters, sponges, brownies and cookies under the guidance of the senior cake team.
• Help prepare ganache, buttercream, whipped cream, fillings, and frostings.
• Assist with layering, filling, crumb-coating and frosting cakes.
• Learn decoration—piping, chocolate work, fruit and toppers—on approved designs.
• Weigh and scale ingredients accurately; follow recipes and product specifications.
• Keep consistency in taste, texture, appearance and weight; flag anything off.
• Prep and organise the cake station before production starts.
• Keep workstation clean, organised and hygienic; follow food-safety procedures.
• Store finished cakes and ingredients correctly; help minimise wastage.
• Support the team during busy periods, bulk orders, and with packing and dispatch when needed.
