Job summary

You will design, develop, and maintain automation scripts, execute tests, and help ensure high product quality across mobile, web, and other applications.

You will participate in regression testing, build automation libraries, and collaborate with the Testing Team to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Must have automation testing experience.
• Experience in testing and analytics.
• Experience with various test automation tools.
• Familiarity with DevOps Azure/Agile/Waterfall methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Testing IT Performance.
• Contribute to the design and perform mobile/website/applications software tests.
• Ensure maintenance of regression test scripts.
• Contribute to Automation scripting within the Testing Team and improve product quality.
• Automation Testing: contribute to the testing framework and libraries for different systems.
• Quality: assist with testing Automation scripting and coordinate related tasks.
• Ensure corrective actions or continuous improvement initiatives are carried out and monitored.
• Develop automated and functional test scripts and monitor execution results.
• Project reporting and review support, including data analytics reporting.
• Data collection and analysis from information provided by others.
• Organise own work schedule and attend daily scrum meetings with stakeholders.
• Faults diagnosis and escalation to development team.

Job Purpose

Assisting with the design, development and maintaining of automation scripting and ensuring the implementation thereof.

Responsibilities

• Testing IT Performance
• Contribute to the design and perform mobile/website/applications software tests.
• Ensure maintenance of regression test scripts.
• Contribute to the Automation scripting within the Testing Team as well as functional responsibilities aligned with improving product quality.
• Automation Testing Contribute to the state of testing and requirements for automation.
• Contribute to maintaining, improving and implementing QA automation Framework and custom automation libraries for different systems.
• Quality Assist with and coordinate testing of Automation scripting.
• Ensure corrective actions or continuous improvement initiatives are carried out and monitor the initiatives to ensure they are effective.
• Develop automated and functional test scripts, execute basic test scripts, monitor the execution of automated scripts and ensure results are recorded.
• Project Reporting and Review Contribute to elements of project review reports and presentations to support delivery of the review process.
• Insights and Reporting Contribute to the preparation of various data and analytics reports.
• Data Collection & Analysis Extract relevant data from information provided by others using pre-set tools, methods and formats.
• Work Scheduling Organise own work schedule each day in line with changing priorities. Attend daily scrum meetings with project stakeholders to review daily status and confirm next steps / actions or JAD Sessions.
• Faults Diagnosis Contribute to fault isolation to limit and address issues promptly and elevate to the development team.

Education

• Grade 12/ SAQA Accredited Equivalent (Essential)
• ISTQB foundation certification (Essential)
• ISTQB Advanced Test Manager Certification (Advantageous)
• Relevant IT degree/diploma (Advantageous) (Required)

Experience

• Experience in automation testing (Essential)
• Experience in testing and analytics (Essential)
• Experience working with various test automation tools (Essential)
• Methodology knowledge and experience working with Devops Azure/ Agile/ Waterfall Methodologies (Essential)
