Job summary

Momentum Investments IT seeks an experienced QA Automation specialist to drive end-to-end automated testing for business solutions. You will ensure functionality, reliability, stability and seamless integration with legacy and external systems.

The role requires 8+ years in software automation/testing, strong API/UI test skills, and hands-on Java/JavaScript scripting in an Agile environment. On-site in Navi Mumbai with Mumbai area responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in end-to-end automated testing for business solutions.
• Strong API, UI testing and integration testing skills.
• Familiar with Agile software development and sprint ceremonies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with testing gap analysis between requirements and environments for all digital solutions.
• Ensure user stories are clearly defined with acceptance criteria for backlog refinement.
• Define quality standards upfront in PI and sprint meetings and ensure delivery.
• Document, maintain and update test plans and test cases.
• Maintain and monitor test scenarios, acceptance criteria and results.
• Continuously build and maintain automated test artifacts.
• Execute and maintain manual and automation regression tests.
• Demonstrate QA deliverables to stakeholders and teams.
• Test big data and ensure outputs are transposed correctly.
• Report on QA practices, trends and drive continuous improvement in Momentum Investments IT.
• Contribute to team predictability by tracking test coverage and quality metrics.
• Minimise defects through upfront code quality and collaboration.

Role Purpose

This person will be responsible for end-to-end automated testing for the business solutions. The solution should be tested in terms of functionality, reliability, stability, compatibility and integration with other legacy and/or external systems.

Requirements

• 8+ years’ experience in software automation and manual testing (preferable on API frameworks like Selenium, Postman and UI frameworks).
• Must have experience in an Agile work environment.
• Scripted based testing Preferred– Java and Java Script.
• Expert integration testing skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities/Kras/Kpis

• Assist with the testing gap analysis between requirements and existing environments accurately for all digital solutions.
• Ensure that user stories are clearly defined and written correctly with acceptance criteria in preparation for the backlog refinement meeting.
• Define quality standards upfront in the PI and sprint meeting and ensure they are achieved
• Document the test plan prior to the start of any project or planned operational work and keep the test plans up to date.
• Document, maintain and monitor test scenarios, acceptance criteria and the final results.
• Continuously build test automation artifacts.
• Execute and maintain the manual and automation regression tests.
• Demonstrate deliverables to key stakeholders.
• Test big data and ensure the outputs are transposed correctly.
• Report on the team QA way of work, feedback on trends and solutions and continuously optimize the way of work to ensure effective and efficient QA practices in the team and with Momentum Investments IT.
• Contribute to the team’s predictability by maintaining a view of the teams wholistic test coverage.
• Minimise team defects by ensuring upfront code quality.
• Drive collective ownership for testing.
• Ensure the agreed quality standard is maintained always.
