Responsibilities

• Initiate calls to check status of claims in queue.
• Contact insurance companies for explanations of denials and underpayments.
• Take appropriate action to guarantee resolution of claims.
• Document actions in claims billing summary notes.
• Prioritize pending claims from the aging basket for calling.
• Adhere to confidentiality and HIPAA-compliant calling norms.
• Work on denials, rejections, and LOA's; make required corrections.
• Follow information security policy and report incidents as required.
