Job summary

Kimberly-Clark in Pune, India, is seeking a General Accounting professional to support the accurate delivery of routine accounting transactions and projects in alignment with internal controls.

You will assist in recording transactions in SAP, support month-end close, prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues and drive process improvements within the General Accounting team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in recording routine accounting transactions in ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities under supervision.
  • Help prepare journal entries, accruals, and reclassifications.
  • Assist in balance sheet account reconciliations and follow up on reconciling items.
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, as required.
  • Ensure compliance with Kimberly-Clark accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support accounting processes and issue resolution.
  • Support assigned projects and process improvement initiatives within the General Accounting team.
  • Assist with reporting requirements and ad hoc requests as needed.

About the Role

Support the goals of the General Accounting team through the accurate and timely delivery of routine General Accounting transactions and assigned projects in alignment with Kimberly-Clark’s internal control policies, procedures, and guidelines.

In This Role, You Will

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Some accounting experience.

  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP.

  • Understanding of General Accounting processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Experience supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.

  • Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to learn new processes and systems..
