About You

Summary of Position:
  • Provide financial analysis and support to the capital project teams from the beginning of pre-appropriation phase to the closeout of the appropriation. This will include creating the projects in SAP, development of the asset write-off schedule, creating the spending forecast files, updating the forecast files with SAP actuals, creating and submitting asset dispositions, creating the asset creation/placed in service, and supporting the project closeout.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

Prefeed Qualifications:
  • Record, review, and validate asset accounting transactions as requested by the business units or as identified through periodic reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform ongoing analysis to ensure accounting information is reliable, complete, and supports timely and informed decision-making by country and regional stakeholders.
  • Work in strong partnership with the broader Property Accounting and cross-functional teams, demonstrating high levels of engagement, collaboration, and ownership.
  • Provide support for ad-hoc analyses and reporting requests, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Prepare and submit placed in-service documents to ensure timely capitalization of capital spending, which ensures appropriate classification on the balance sheet and timely and accurate reporting of depreciation expense on the P&L's and other tax benefits.
  • Ensure project controls are in place, being followed, and provide audit support for major projects requiring periodic audits. Recommend improvements to strengthen project controls and implement corrective actions.
  • Communicate fully with project team members and others who need to know, while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. Communicate in a way that is timely, complete, concise, clear, accurate and responsive. Communicate in a business-like and professional manner.
  • Contribute to an environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve both their individual and team contributions to achieve desired business results.
  • Consistently meet or exceed defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) related to CSS GBS Property Accounting processes, ensuring quality, timeliness, and adherence to internal controls.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Management, or a related field.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with a high sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders effectively while fostering collaboration and teamwork.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Highly motivated individual who is a self-starter and takes ownership of projects and tasks and has good networking, analytical and organizational skills.
