Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join our FOS products team in Mumbai or Pune. Reporting to a Senior Engineer or the Director of Software Engineering, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of scalable SaaS solutions while learning from experienced team members.

This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional eager to grow technical skills, learn industry best practices, and gain hands-on experience building real-world applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or equivalent bootcamp/self-taught experience.
• 0-2 years of professional software development experience (internships, co-ops, or academic projects).
• Familiarity with at least one modern programming language such as C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
• Basic understanding of web development concepts (frontend and/or backend).
• Exposure to version control systems like Git is a plus.
• Awareness of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar) is a plus.
• Familiarity with frameworks like React, .NET, or Node.js is a plus.
• Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD, or DevOps practices is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
• Passion for technology and eagerness to grow as a software engineer.

Responsibilities
