Job summary

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd in Pithampur is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to lead preventive and predictive maintenance in sterile injectable manufacturing areas. You will oversee equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and uptime for filling machines, autoclaves, HVAC, and related utilities.

The role requires coordinating with Manufacturing, QA, Validation, and external vendors, ensuring SOPs, cGMP, and safety standards are met. B.Tech or M.Tech is required.

Qualifications

• B.Tech or M.Tech in engineering or related field.
• Experience in pharma manufacturing maintenance.
• Knowledge of cGMP and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of equipment in sterile injectable manufacturing areas.
• Attend equipment breakdowns promptly and troubleshoot to minimize downtime.
• Support maintenance of filling machines, washing machines, sterilization equipment, HVAC systems, and utilities.
• Execute maintenance activities per SOPs, schedules, and safety standards.
• Assist in IQ, OQ, and PQ activities and equipment commissioning.
• Prepare and review equipment history cards, maintenance checklists, and qualification protocols.
• Ensure timely completion of preventive maintenance, calibration, and qualification schedules.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, QA, Validation, EHS, and other departments for smooth operations.
• Coordinate with external vendors for servicing, parts, and technical support.
• Monitor and procure critical spare parts and manage inventory.
• Support QMS activities: deviations, CAPA, change controls, investigations, risk assessments.
• Perform root-cause analysis for recurring breakdowns and implement CAPA.

• Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of equipment used in sterile injectable manufacturing areas.
• Attend equipment breakdowns promptly and ensure timely troubleshooting and restoration to minimize production downtime.
• Support the maintenance of manufacturing equipment such as filling machines, washing machines, sterilization equipment, lyophilizes, autoclaves, HVAC systems, and utilities, as applicable.
• Execute maintenance activities according to approved SOPs, schedules, cGMP requirements, and safety standards.
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, and qualification activities, including IQ, OQ, and PQ.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing engineering documents such as equipment history cards, maintenance checklists, logbooks, qualification protocols, and reports.
• Ensure timely completion of preventive maintenance, calibration, and equipment qualification schedules.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Validation, EHS, and other departments for smooth engineering operations.
• Coordinate with external vendors for equipment servicing, troubleshooting, spare parts, and technical support.
• Maintain the availability of critical spare parts and support inventory monitoring and procurement activities.
• Support engineering-related QMS activities, including deviations, CAPA, change controls, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
• Conduct root-cause analysis for recurring breakdowns and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure adherence to cGMP, Good Documentation Practices, data integrity, regulatory, and safety requirements.
