Job summary

Hyosungtndindia is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for MV GIS switchgear in Pune to develop outlines and manufacturing drawings. You will work with 2D CAD and 3D modelling tools such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Solid Edge, UG/NX or Creo and translate customer specs into compliant designs.

Requirements include strong communication, problem solving, and time management, plus hands-on experience with MV GIS components like tanks, sheet metal, and busbars.

Qualifications

• Experience in MV switchgear mechanical design and drawings.
• Experience with Outline GA and manufacturing drawings.
• Hands-on experience in 3D modelling in SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Solid Edge, UG/NX or Creo.
• SolidWorks/Solid Edge will be an added advantage.
• 2D CAD proficiency and 2D GIS layout.
• Knowledge of MV GIS/AIS standards and components (tank, sheet metal, busbars).
• Ability to interpret customer specs and standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare error-free drawings using checklists and related documents.
• Understand customer requirements from specifications and standards.
• Create outline GA drawings and manufacturing drawings for MV GIS components.
• Layout MV GIS in 2D and ensure manufacturability.

• Candidate must have workexperience of Medium Voltage/HighVoltage switchgear Mechanical designs & drawings and demonstrated his/hercapabilities for the development of MV Switchgear in past.
• Candidateshould have experience of drawings like Outline GA drawings & manufacturingdrawings
• Candidatemust have hands-on experience in 3D solid modeling in Solid works / AutodeskInventor / Solid edge / UG.NX / Creo or any other 3D software.
• (Solidworks / Solid edge will be added advantage)
• Shouldhave hands-on experience of AutoCAD 2D drawings,layout of Medium voltage GIS in 2D
• Should have knowledge of designand optimization of mechanical components for MV GIS Components like Tank,Sheet Metal, Busbars etc.
• Candidate shall be able tounderstand the customer requirements from specifications and relativestandards.
• Should have knowledge ofvarious types of International Standards related to MV GIS/AIS, Instrumenttransformers etc.
• Candidate shall be able prepare error freedrawings with the help of checklists and relative documents.

• Knowledgeof basic computer software like Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.
• Proficientin 2D CAD and 3D modelling in Solid works, Autodesk Inventor, Solid edge orequivalent 3D software. Solid works preferable (Solid works / Solid Edge willbe added advantages)
