Job summary

Source-Right is seeking a Jr. CAE durability engineer (TT13ST RM 4509) in the Powertrain domain in Chennai, India.

Candidates should have 1–3 years in automotive durability CAE and at least 2000 hours of CAE Pre-Post work using ANSA/NASTRAN/ABAQUS/META, with a strong focus on model building and basic BIW/TBIW durability knowledge. Responsibilities include building and validating CAE models for ICE and EV powertrain systems, performing modal and 1G static analyses, conducting quality checks,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/master’s in mechanical/Automobile Engineering.
• 1–3 years of experience in automotive durability CAE domain.
• Minimum 2000 hours of CAE Pre-Post experience & solver usage (ANSA/NASTRAN/ABAQUS/META).
• Strong focus on model building (sheet metal, plastic, hex/tet mesh, assemblies, contacts).
• Basic knowledge of BIW/TBIW durability CAE models.
• Good fundamentals in durability concepts, FEA and physics.

Responsibilities

• Build and validate durability CAE models for ICE & EV powertrain systems.
• Perform basic analyses: Modal analysis, 1G Static load cases.
• Conduct FE model quality checks and ensure correctness of model setup.
• Debug CAE models and prepare standard reports.
• Follow client-specific methods and best practices.
