Job summary

MCX Clearing Corporation Limited (MCXCCL) seeks a Senior Manager/Manager - Technology with a focus on Database Lead Development to architect end-to-end RMS and clearing engines for scalable, low-latency operations.

You will define standards, patterns, and NFRs, ensuring security by design, fault tolerance, and future-ready infrastructure for T+0 settlement. A strong background in enterprise software architecture is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in computer science or IT related field.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience in enterprise software architecture.
• Experience designing and governing large-scale RMS/clearing systems.

Responsibilities

• Blueprint Ownership: Design end-to-end application architectures for proprietary RMS and Clearing engines.
• Standardization: Establish and enforce engineering standards for API design, data modelling, and inter-service communication.
• Pattern Definition: Define reusable architectural patterns to streamline development across DC/DR landscape.
• Performance Guardrails: Define and validate NFRs, track throughput, latency budgets, and RTO.
• Operational Readiness: Embed NFRs into the design phase, not after deployment.
• Testing Oversight: Partner with Performance Engineering for stress tests and regression suites.
• Horizontal Scalability: Architect for exponential growth using distributed computing and caching.
• Fault Tolerance: Design for fail-fast and self-healing with circuit breakers and redundancy.
• Security by Design: Apply Zero-Trust and SEBI/CSCRF cyber-resilience mandates.
• Innovation Strategy: Explore Cloud-Native and high-performance messaging, modernizing legacy stacks.
• Legacy De-risking: Create migration roadmaps away from rigid vendor platforms.
• Futureproofing: Prepare stacks for T+0 settlement and expanded derivatives segments.
• Change Review Board (CAB): Lead CAB to approve major design changes aligned with long-term vision.
• Vendor Oversight: Govern partner-led initiatives with SLA/SOPs and architectural standards.
• Audit Compliance: Maintain architectural docs for regulatory inspections and controls.

• Blueprint Ownership: Design end-to-end application architectures for proprietary RMS and Clearing engines. Ensure they are modular, maintainable, and low latency.
• Standardization: Establish and enforce enterprise-wide engineering standards for API design, data modelling, and inter-service communication.
• Pattern Definition: Define reusable architectural patterns to streamline development. Ensure consistency across the DC/DR landscape.
• Performance Guardrails: Explicitly define and validate Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs). Track throughput, latency budgets, and recovery time objectives (RTO).
• Operational Readiness: Bake NFRs into the design phase. Do not treat them as an afterthought during production deployment.
• Testing Oversight: Partner with Performance Engineering to ensure stable architecture under stress-test scenarios. Include comprehensive regression test cases.
• Horizontal Scalability: Architect systems for exponential volume growth. Use distributed computing, caching strategies, and load-balancing techniques.
• Fault Tolerance: Design for "Fail-Fast" and self-healing. Implement circuit breakers and redundancy to eliminate single points of failure.
• Security by Design: Integrate Zero-Trust principles and encryption into the application layer. Meet SEBI/CSCRF cyber-resilience mandates.
• Innovation Strategy: Research and pilot emerging technologies like Cloud-Native and High-Performance Messaging. Modernize the legacy tech stack.
• Legacy De-risking: Create a migration roadmap. Move away from rigid COTS/Vendor platforms toward flexible, proprietary engineering.
• Futureproofing: Support future market shifts. Prepare the stack for T+0 settlement and expanded derivatives segments.
• Change Review Board (CAB): Lead the CAB to review and approve major design changes. Ensure alignment with the long-term vision.
• Vendor Oversight: Provide technical governance for partner-led initiatives. Enforce internal architectural standards and define SLA/SOPs for vendor interaction.
• Audit Compliance: Maintain comprehensive architectural documentation for regulatory inspections. Demonstrate clear controls over system logic and data flows.
