Job summary

MCX Clearing Corporation Limited (MCXCCL) is seeking a Senior Architect to design end-to-end architectures for proprietary RMS and Clearing engines with a focus on modularity and low latency.

You will define reusable patterns, validate NFRs, and lead architecture reviews, while embedding Zero-Trust security and encryption standards to meet regulatory mandates. The role leverages Java, Kafka, IBM DB2, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science / Information Technology or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end application architectures for proprietary RMS and Clearing engines with low latency.
• Define reusable architectural patterns to streamline development across the DC/DR landscape.
• Define and validate non-functional requirements including throughput, latency budgets, and RTO.
• Ensure that NFRs are baked-in from the design phase and tested during production readiness.
• Partner with Performance Engineering to ensure architecture remains stable under stress tests.
• Design for fail-fast, self-healing; implement circuit breakers and redundancy to avoid single points of failure in the clearing cycle.
• Integrate Zero-Trust principles and encryption standards to meet cyber-resilience mandates.
• Create migration roadmap to move away from rigid COTS/vendor platforms toward flexible, proprietary engineering.
• Ensure the stack supports future market shifts (e.g., T+0 settlement).
• Lead the Architecture Review Board (ARB) to review and approve major design changes.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Blueprint Ownership: Design end-to-end application architectures for proprietary RMS and Clearing engines, ensuring they are modular, maintainable, and low latency.
• Pattern Definition: Define reusable architectural patterns to streamline development and ensure consistency across the DC/DR landscape.
• Performance Guardrails: Explicitly define and validate Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) including throughput, latency budgets, and recovery time objectives (RTO).
• Operational Readiness: Ensure that NFRs are "baked-in" from the design phase, rather than treated as an afterthought during production deployment.
• Testing Oversight: Partner with Performance Engineering to ensure architecture remains stable under stress-test scenarios.
• Fault Tolerance: Design for "Fail-Fast" and self-healing; implement circuit breakers and redundancy to ensure no single point of failure in the clearing cycle.
• Security by Design: Integrate Zero-Trust principles and encryption standards into the application layer to meet SEBI/CSCRF cyber-resilience mandates.
• Legacy De-risking: Create the migration roadmap to move away from rigid COTS/Vendor platforms toward flexible, proprietary engineering.
• Future-Proofing: Ensure the stack is capable of supporting future market shifts, such as T+0 settlement or expanded derivatives segments.
• Architecture Review Board (ARB): Lead the ARB to review and approve all major design changes, ensuring alignment with the long-term vision.
• Mastery of Java, Distributed Systems (Kafka), IBM DB 2 and Containerization (Kubernetes).
