Job summary

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related fields; a Master’s degree or certifications like CISSP and CISM are advantageous.

The ideal candidate will oversee incident response, develop SOPs, and lead efforts in threat hunting. Strong analytical skills for assessing security incidents and logs are essential.

Job Responsibilities

• Operational Oversight:
  • Manage and oversee L2 activities across security technologies to ensure optimal performance.
  • Ensure timely incident response and resolution while adhering to organizational protocols.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of security operations and tools.
• Documentation & SOP Development:
  • Prepare, update, and maintain comprehensive documentation and SOPs for all security technologies and processes.
  • Ensure SOPs are standardized, actionable, and aligned with compliance requirements.
• Configure, optimize, and maintain tools such as XDR, WAF, DLP, Anti-APT, Anti-DDOS, PAM, and SOAR.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of security technologies and implement upgrades/improvements as necessary.
• Ensure scalability and integration of tools with the organization’s IT infrastructure.
• Lead efforts in threat hunting, vulnerability management, and proactive risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure a robust defence against emerging threats.
• Investigate and respond to Security incidents ensuring escalations are handled swiftly.
• Analyse logs, alerts and security events to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Reporting & Communication:
  • Generate and present security reports to stakeholders, highlighting trends and mitigation strategies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for security-related matters across the organization.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide training on security tools and best practices.
