Job summary

Proplex in Bengaluru is hiring a Senior Lawyer – Real Estate Practice for end-to-end property documentation, due diligence, and legal support across Karnataka real estate transactions.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years PQE, strong drafting, research and client-management skills, and can coordinate with developers, government authorities, and registries to ensure smooth transfer of title; Kannada knowledge is an added advantage.

Qualifications

• LL.B. degree from a recognised university.
• Enrolled with the Bar Council of India.
• 2–5 years of post-qualification experience in Real Estate/Property Law.
• Strong knowledge of Bengaluru/Karnataka property laws and registration procedures.
• Excellent drafting, research, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage legal assignments and client interactions.
• Knowledge of Kannada will be an added advantage.
• Experience: 2–5 Years

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and vet various property-related legal documents including Sale Deeds, Sale Agreements, Lease Deeds, Gift Deeds, Relinquishment/Release Deeds, Joint Development Agreements, Collaboration Agreements, Powers of Attorney, and other real estate documents.
• Chain of title documents, Encumbrance Certificates, Ownership records, Mutation and Khata documents, Revenue records, Conversion orders, Government approvals, and related documents.
• Provide legal opinions and identify risks, discrepancies, and documentation gaps.
• Coordinate with clients, developers, government authorities, Sub-Registrar Offices, and other stakeholders for smooth transaction execution.
• Advise clients on stamp duty, registration requirements, property transfer procedures, and Karnataka documentation compliances.
• Manage client communication, legal research, and drafting assignments.
• Support end-to-end property transactions.
