Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform end‑to‑end testing of inbound and outbound EDI transactions in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.

• Verify inbound EDI processing from trading partners into JDE interface and application tables.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced JDE QA Engineer with strong expertise in EDI Testing and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (JDE). The ideal candidate will be responsible for validatingand testing inbound and outbound EDI transactions within the JDE environment. This role focuses on EDI testing, validation, troubleshooting, and quality assurance activities and does not involve EDI map development.

The candidate should possess a solid understanding of EDI business flows, JDE modules, EDI interface tables, transaction processing, and end-to-end testing methodologies. Experience working with trading partner integrations and EDI transaction validation is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end testing of Inbound and Outbound EDI transactions in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
• Validate EDI document processing, data integrity, and business workflows across JDE modules.
• Create and execute test scenarios, test cases, and regression test suites for EDI integrations.
• Verify inbound EDI processing from trading partners into JDE interface and application tables.
• Validate outbound EDI transactions generated from JDE to external trading partners.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) support.
• Analyze EDI transaction failures, identify root causes, and coordinate resolution with functional and technical teams.
• Review EDI transaction logs, interface tables, and processing reports to validate successful execution.
• Collaborate with business users, EDI teams, and JDE functional consultants to ensure requirements are met.
• Participate in defect tracking, issue resolution, and test reporting activities.
• Support production validation, deployment testing, and post-release verification activities.
• Prepare and maintain test documentation, execution reports, and defect logs.

• Strong knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.

EDI Testing

• Hands‑on experience testing Inbound and Outbound EDI transactions.
• Strong understanding of EDI processing lifecycle and transaction flows.
• Experience validating EDI interface tables, flat files, acknowledgments, and transaction statuses.
• Ability to troubleshoot EDI processing issues and data discrepancies.

EDI Standards

Experience working with common EDI transaction sets such as:

• 850 Purchase Order
• 855 Purchase Order Acknowledgment
• 856 Advanced Shipping Notice (ASN)
• 810 – Invoice
• 820 – Payment Order/Remittance
• 846 – Inventory Inquiry/Advice

Knowledge of ANSI X12 EDI standards is preferred.

• Exposure to EDI acknowledgments (997) and trading partner integrations.
• Experience with EDI production support and issue analysis.
