GlobalLogic is seeking an experienced Fullstack Developer with 8-10 years of IT experience to design, develop, and deploy robust backend APIs using Java. The role requires collaborative work with QA, DevOps, and UI/UX teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy robust backend APIs that support various application functionalities.
• Write reusable, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Quality Assurance (QA) engineers, DevOps specialists, and UI/UX Designers to ensure seamless functionality and integration.
• Identify and fix bugs, and enhance existing backend features based on feedback and evolving requirements.
• Actively participate in code reviews to maintain code quality, ensure adherence to design patterns, and share knowledge.
• Contribute to agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to drive iterative development processes.
• Implement and maintain backend logic for access control (e.g., Role-Based Access Control), dynamically tailoring data and content visibility based on defined user roles.
• Develop and integrate secure authentication flows, including user login, password management, and account creation functionalities, with features like temporary password resets and automated email notifications.
• Manage sensitive user data within the backend, adhering to data privacy considerations and implementing necessary encryption or masking protocols.
• Develop and maintain data import/export functionalities, including direct database imports for master data and generating data exports for reporting purposes.
• Implement comprehensive logging mechanisms to capture all CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) operations and maintain an audit trail within the database.
• Contribute to implementing application security best practices on the backend, focusing on proper input validation, secure authentication, and session management.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of backend development using Java.
• Familiarity with RESTful services and API Gateway concepts.
• Proficiency with version control systems (Git), and exposure to platforms like Bitbucket.
• Basic understanding of DevOps principles and exposure to CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins).
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with relational databases (SQL) such as PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases like DynamoDB.
• Familiarity with caching strategies and tools like ElastiCache.
• Experience with backend testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and serverless computing concepts (e.g., AWS Lambda, S3, API Gateway).
• Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools (e.g., ELK stack, CloudWatch) and messaging services (e.g., Amazon Eventbridge).
• Awareness of application security best practices, including authentication, authorization, data encryption, and identity and access management (e.g., Keycloak, OWASP Top 10).
• Experience with static code analysis tools (e.g., SonarQube).
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, for iterative development processes.
