Job summary

Cloudxtreme looking for a senior software engineer with hands-on Java/Spring Boot experience to build microservices on AWS. You will design, develop, and deploy scalable backend services, integrate databases, and enable event-driven architectures.

Candidates should be proficient with cloud tooling (Lambda, EKS/ECS, SQS/SNS, Step Functions) and modern DevOps practices, delivering robust software within deadlines. Strong analytical and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Java, SpringBoot, Spring Cloud, NodeJS and multiple databases; build RESTful APIs.
• Experience with version control (Git/SVN) and build tools (Ant, Maven, Gradle), plus unit testing (JUnit).
• Working knowledge of AWS cloud services (Lambda, EKS, ECS, SNS, SQS, Step Functions) and microservices on cloud infra.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and enterprise-scale software systems.
• Ability to design and integrate complex software solutions, including event-driven distributed systems.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and multi-tier on-prem/cloud deployments.

Job description

• Highly motivated having hands on experience with Java, SpringBoot, Spring Cloud, NodeJS , Databases ((PostgreSQL/ MongoDB/ MSSqlServer/Oracle)/RDS and developing RESTful APIs.
• Experience in using different tools like source code management (SVN or GIT), build tools (ant, maven, Gradle), Unit testing (Junit) etc.
• Must have working knowledge with AWS cloud computing environment and experience using AWS services like AWS Lambda/ EKS / ECS / SNS/SQS/STEP Functions etc.
• Strong understanding of Microservices architectures with hands-on experience in developing and deploying Microservices solutions on Cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to produce high-quality code meeting project deadlines and the requirements.
• Experience with event/message driven distributed system
• Strong critical thinkers with ability to independently make decisions in the context of program vision
• Strong experience in software development, systems engineering, or software product management.
• Advanced technical knowledge of complex software systems, including large scale enterprise, middleware systems.
• Working Knowledge and experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Experienced in Design Patterns and developing Web Services
• Experienced in developing Enterprise class of products & solutions, multi-tier on-prem applications.
• Experience in Agile Methodologies and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with backend, frontend development, DevOps, API integrations and Data engineering
• Expert business acumen and knowledge of root cause analysis and problem detection
• Extensive experience with multiple software systems design tools and languages
• Strong Experience in overall architecture of software systems for products and solutions
• Experience designing and integrating software systems running on multiple platform types into overall architecture
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at senior management levels.
