Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Chennai is seeking a skilled software engineer to design and develop microservices using Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, and REST APIs for global digital payments.

You will ensure high availability, security, and regulatory compliance of payment applications, participate in code reviews, CI/CD, and cloud-native deployments, and collaborate with product, architecture, QA, and business teams in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Java/J2EE and Kotlin development.
• Expertise in Spring Boot, Microservices, RESTful APIs, JSON, and Web Services.
• Experience with Oracle/PostgreSQL, SQL optimization, and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of Kafka/Event-Driven Architecture is preferred.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices and payment transaction processing.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Role & responsibilities

• Design and develop microservices using Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, and REST APIs. (Mandatory)
• Build and maintain payment processing, remittance, settlement, and transaction orchestration services. (Good to have)
• Integrate with banking systems, payment gateways, SWIFT, ACH, and third-party financial partners. (Good to have)
• Develop scalable APIs for global money transfer and digital payment solutions. (Good to have)
• Ensure high availability, performance, security, and regulatory compliance of payment applications.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production support.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA, and Business teams in an Agile environment.
• Support CI/CD implementation and cloud-native deployment strategies.

Preferred candidate profile
