Job summary

Quess IT Solutions in Bengaluru is seeking a Java Developer with 4–6 years of backend experience to design and build scalable services using Java (21+) and Spring Boot. You will host services in AKS, work with PostgreSQL, and apply modern AI-assisted tooling to improve productivity and delivery.

You will collaborate with product, frontend, QA, and DevOps in an Agile setup, write tests, and contribute to code reviews and production issue resolution.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of hands-on backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Core Java, OOP, and Java Streams.
• Experience with Spring Boot for REST services and microservices.
• PostgreSQL expertise including indexing and query optimization.
• Familiarity with ORM frameworks like Spring Data JPA / Hibernate.

Summary

We are looking for a Java Developer with 4-6 years of experience in building backend services using Java (21+) and Spring Boot. The role involves designing and developing REST APIs, hosting applications in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), working with PostgreSQL databases, and leveraging modern AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, and delivery efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot with Microservices architecture

Required Skills & Experience

•Strong proficiency in Core Java, OOP, Collections, Exception handling, & Streams

•Strong experience with Spring Boot (REST, validation, configuration, profiles)

•Experience with PostgreSQL (joins, indexing, query optimization, schema design)

•Familiarity with ORM frameworks such as Spring Data JPA / Hibernate

•Experience with Maven/Gradle, Git, and standard development workflows

•Working exposure to AI developer tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Azure OpenAI, IntelliCode, Sonar AI capabilities) to enhance development efficiency

•Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills and ability to work on performance issues
