Job summary

Global Payments Inc. in Maharashtra, India, is seeking a Software Engineer to join the WPT Client team and help shape the future of global commerce.

You will own high-quality code for new features, ensure test coverage, and contribute to independent capabilities with Java 8+ and Spring Boot. The role requires hands-on JAVA, REST API exposure, and CI/CD practice, with collaboration across teams and some UK-hours overlap.

Qualifications

• Strong Java programming experience with modern Java versions.
• Experience building RESTful services and testing with JUnit.
• Hands-on with Spring Boot and CI/CD tooling.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and work with minimal supervision.

What You’ll Own

• high quality code development for new features
• ensure proper test coverage
• A ideal candidate will have responsibility of developing of independent capability within software in a specified time frame following industry wide best practices with an objective to learn on the job and adhere to new principles and practices as it evolves.
• This is a 100% developer position where the candidate is expected to be proficient and has a good hands-on on JAVA, with good working / hands-on with JAVA8+
• There will be normal business hours allowing some overlap with UK business hours.
