Job summary

Zensar Technologies in Hyderabad, India is seeking an experienced Java backend developer to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-grade applications following the SDLC.

Responsibilities include writing specs, building high-quality code, debugging issues, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure timely releases. Candidates should have 5-8 years of hands-on Java experience with Hibernate, Spring, REST, microservices and databases like Oracle and PostgreSQL.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge in Java/J2EE and core Java concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Hibernate/JPA and Spring framework.
• Proficient in Web Services, REST, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with relational databases Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Familiar with JMS, IBM MQ and messaging middleware.

Responsibilities & Deliverables:

• Define and write implementation specification, derive algorithms and develop code from design documents.
• Design and develop high-quality code.
• Test, debug, analyze, and fix application problems/issues. Work closely with stakeholders to fix issues in a timely fashion.
• Follow the software development lifecycle processes.
• Interact with internal stakeholders to support product releases and/or resolve program problems.
• Support and mentor the team where needed.
• Analyze existing Java application components and database dependencies on Oracle.
• Refactor database access layers, stored procedure integrations, and data access logic for PostgreSQL compatibility.
• Perform performance tuning and query optimization to achieve or exceed Oracle baseline performance
