Job summary

Zensar in India seeks a Senior Java Developer to design, develop, unit test and fix defects in our product, working in sprints and collaborating with global teams.

You will review code, mentor juniors, create training materials for new joiners, and provide UAT and production support for new customers, with a focus on Java/Spring/Microservices, Unix scripting, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an IT-related discipline or equivalent education and experience.
• 6+ years of commercial software development using Java/Spring and microservices.
• Experience with application servers Tomcat, WildFly, or WebLogic.
• Unix environment experience and scripting languages knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of Java design patterns.
• Familiarity with SDLC and DevOps for deployment.
• SQL programming for Oracle and MS SQL.
• Experience working in agile teams and backlog management.
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with global teams and client interfacing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Support team members with writing quality code, do code reviews for junior members in the team
• Contribute towards creating and imparting high-quality training (and material) to train new joiners in the team
• For new customer onboarding, provide UAT and production support on need basis
• Train and communicate with clients on systems application

What you will need:
