AutomationEdge is seeking a passionate Java Developer – AI & Enterprise Applications to join our Professional Services team. The role focuses on designing and building scalable enterprise applications, REST APIs, and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud technologies to enable AI-enabled automation.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high‑quality software while adopting Agile practices and secure coding standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
• Strong Java fundamentals and Spring ecosystem knowledge.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and ORM frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines.

We are looking for a passionate Java Developer – AI & Enterprise Applications to join our Professional Services team. The ideal candidate should have strong Java development skills along with hands‑on experience in building scalable enterprise applications and integrating AI/Generative AI capabilities using Java frameworks, REST APIs, Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud technologies. Familiarity with AI integration frameworks, LLM APIs, or AI orchestration platforms is an added advantage. This role offers an opportunity to work on cutting‑edge AI‑enabled enterprise products, intelligent automation solutions, and enterprise‑scale digital transformation platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high‑performance enterprise applications and RESTful APIs using Java and the Spring Boot framework.
• Develop and implement microservices‑based applications following industry best practices and design patterns.
• Build robust backend services with a focus on scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Design, develop, and optimize database solutions using SQL/NoSQL databases, including writing efficient queries and managing data persistence.
• Integrate enterprise applications with third‑party systems, APIs, messaging platforms, and cloud services.
• Develop and consume RESTful and SOAP web services to support business and enterprise integration requirements.
• Implement secure application development practices, including authentication, authorization, and data protection using frameworks such as Spring Security and OAuth2/JWT.
• Deploy, monitor, and optimize Java applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and support containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high‑quality software solutions following Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Perform code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, optimize application performance, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest Java ecosystem, frameworks, cloud technologies, and software engineering best practices to continuously improve application quality and development efficiency

Required Technical Skills

• 2+ years of hands‑on experience in Java application development.
• Strong proficiency in Java 8/11/17+, Core Java, Object‑Oriented Programming (OOP), Collections, Multithreading, and Exception Handling.
• Hands‑on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA/Hibernate, and the Spring ecosystem.
• Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices‑based applications.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and ORM frameworks such as Hibernate/JPA.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Knowledge of build and dependency management tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Understanding of software design principles, design patterns, secure coding practices, and application performance optimization.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies and collaborative development practices.

Good to Have

• Experience with Agentic AI frameworks and autonomous AI systems.
• Exposure to MCP (Model Context Protocol), AI tool calling, and function calling.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployments.
• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and cloud‑native architectures.
• Exposure to AI observability, evaluation frameworks, and model monitoring.

Educational Qualification
