Job summary

Exaze Private Limited is seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer with hands-on AI/GenAI experience to design, develop, and deliver scalable backend applications and AI-powered solutions.

You will work with Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems, integrating AI/GenAI using LLMs, embeddings, vector search, and prompt engineering. The role involves architecture discussions and collaboration with AI/ML teams.

Qualifications

• 712 years of hands-on experience in backend Java development.
• Strong proficiency in Core Java 8/11/17+; Spring / Spring Boot; Microservices; REST APIs; Multithreading and Concurrency; Collections; Design Patterns; SOLID principles and Clean Code.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and scalable backend architecture.
• Good experience with debugging, performance optimization, and production issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Core Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain Microservices and RESTful APIs for enterprise applications.
• Develop and integrate AI/GenAI capabilities into backend applications.
• Work with LLMs, GenAI APIs, RAG, embeddings, vector search, and prompt engineering.
• Integrate AI services such as Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, or equivalent platforms.
• Develop AI-powered features such as chatbots, AI assistants, intelligent search, document processing, summarization, and classification.
• Design solutions using RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and vector databases where applicable.
• Work with databases, caching, messaging systems, and third-party integrations.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following industry best practices.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement scalable and reliable solutions.
• Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, AI/ML engineers, and cross-functional teams.
• Participate in the complete SDLC from requirements analysis through deployment and production support.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer with hands-on AI/GenAI experience to design, develop, and deliver scalable backend applications and AI-powered solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems, along with practical experience in integrating AI/GenAI and Large Language Models (LLMs) into enterprise applications.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
