Java Backend Developer AWS & Python

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer with AWS and Python expertise to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications, microservices, and cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, AWS, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and enterprise applications.
• Build, deploy, and manage cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Work with AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS/EKS, IAM, CloudWatch, and API Gateway.
• Develop automation, utilities, integrations, or backend services using Python.
• Containerize applications using Docker and manage deployments using Kubernetes.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Maven, or GitLab CI.
• Work with Oracle, DB2, or PostgreSQL databases and optimize SQL queries.
• Develop and integrate event-driven applications using Kafka or other messaging platforms.
• Troubleshoot application and production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and other cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Strong experience developing RESTful APIs and enterprise backend applications.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services – EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS/EKS, IAM, CloudWatch, and API Gateway.
• Good hands-on experience with Python for backend development, scripting, automation, or integrations.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Maven, or GitLab CI.
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases – Oracle, DB2, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Kafka or other messaging platforms is preferred.
• Strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Profile

• Strong understanding of cloud-native and distributed application architecture.
• Experience developing scalable and highly available Java/Python backend services.
• Good understanding of Microservices, API integration, messaging, and event-driven architecture.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative Agile development environment.
