Job summary

GeekSoft Consulting in Bengaluru is seeking an Experienced Java Microservices Developer with 6+ years of hands-on experience to design, build, and evolve scalable backend services.

You will work with Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and cloud technologies on AWS, while contributing to CI/CD, testing, and performance tuning in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experienced Java Microservices Developer with 6+ years of hands-on experience in Java application development, microservices architecture.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, SQL/Database Development, and AWS Cloud Services. Basic or working knowledge of Python is preferred.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
• Develop and maintain robust RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Design, develop, enhance, and troubleshoot database objects, including Stored Procedures, Views, Cursors, Functions, and Triggers.
• Perform SQL development, query optimization, and database performance tuning.
• Develop and deploy cloud-native applications using AWS services.
• Analyze application and database performance bottlenecks and implement optimization strategies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and DevOps practices; CI/CD adoption.
• Apply Python basics for automation and scripting.
• Ensure coding standards, security guidelines, and best practices are followed.

• Experience with exception handling, logging frameworks, and application troubleshooting.
  
• Hands-on experience with JUnit and Mockito for unit testing.
  
• Strong SQL development skills with hands-on experience in Stored Procedures, Views, and Cursors.
  
• Experience with Functions, Triggers, database design, and data modeling.
  
• Strong understanding of query optimization and database performance tuning.
  
• Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar relational databases.
  
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, and CloudWatch or equivalent services.
  
• Understanding of cloud deployment, monitoring, and application management concepts.
  
• Basic or working knowledge of Python scripting.
  
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
  
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
  
• Experience with Kafka or other messaging technologies.
  
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
