Job summary

Barclays Global Service Center Pune is seeking a Java BAMOE Workflow Lead to design, develop and improve software solutions, focusing on BPMN/DMN and reactive APIs. You will build RESTful services with Java Spring Boot, lead or participate in code reviews, implement CI/CD pipelines, and ensure secure, observable, high‑quality software aligned with business objectives.

You'll collaborate with architects and product teams to craft scalable architectures, integrate with Kafka, OpenShift, and BPMN

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Java and BAMOE workflow engines.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices with Java Spring Boot.
• Experience with BPMN-based engines such as BAMOE/jBPM and BPMN2.0.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, familiarity with OpenShift (PaaS).
• Experience integrating with event-driven architecture, including Kafka and REST APIs.
• Understanding of API Gateway patterns and implementations.
• Knowledge of performance tuning, observability tools such as ELK, Splunk, AppDynamics.
• Experience with automated testing (JUnit, Mockito) and testing tools (Jest, Appium/Detox).
• Familiarity with testing tools such as Postman/Insomnia.
• Experience with message brokers (Kafka).
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and modular design.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• A self-starter with good communication skills.

Purpose of the role: To design, develop and improve software, utilizing various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.
