Job summary

Antal International is hiring a Java Backend Developer in Mumbai (Andheri East). The candidate will design and build high-performance, scalable Java applications using Spring, focusing on quality, maintainability and performance in a fast-paced, agile environment.

The role requires 5-8 years of experience, strong REST/XML/JSON proficiency, and hands-on with CI/CD and API tooling. Knowledge of payments domain and cloud/docker is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in Java Backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot and REST APIs.
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle/PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL.
• Knowledge of streaming frameworks like Kafka, Flink or Storm.
• Familiarity with API tooling (Postman, Swagger, Apigee).
• Hands-on with CI/CD tools and version control (GitLab/Jenkins).
• Awareness of OWASP security standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance Java applications using Spring stack.
• Drive CI/CD and agile delivery for fast, reliable releases.

Roles and Responsibility:

• Design and develop high performance, scalable, robust and reliable applications using java & Spring
• Drive continuous improvement and continuous delivery in our software development process within an agile development team
• Write automated unit and integration tests as appropriate to support continuous integration pipelines
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams that include developers, QA, product owners, TPMs to implement the extensible and scalable solution
• Evaluating third parties APIs and capabilities to integrate with product
• Creation and maintenance of proper documentation for Design, Architecture, API specs, interfaces etc.
• Mentor engineers, perform code reviews, provide technical guidance, etc.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security and other modern java stack technologies
• Relational databases like Oracle/PostgreSQL/MYSQL and any NoSQL database
• Must have experience with REST and XML/JSON/Protobuf
• Strong technical knowledge on various streaming frameworks like Kafka, Apache Flink, Apache Storm and caching solutions like Memcache/Redis etc
• Industry API tooling such as Postman, Castlemock, Apigee, Swagger etc
• Hands-on experience with tools like Splunk, Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus, version control and configuration systems like GITLAB, Jenkins, code quality tools like SonarQube, Fortify, Veracode etc
• Application security standards like OWASP
• Git (Gitlab / Github)
• Strong analytical skills, with high problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Keep up the pace with the latest technology and developments in the industry

Education Background: B.Tech/M.Tech, B.E./M.E. ( preferably in computer science )

Good To Have:

• Knowledge in the Payments domain
• Cloud-Native Design & Containerisation (Docker)
• Knowledge of AWS (Or any other Cloud Platform)
