Job summary

Capgemini India in Chennai is seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer to design, develop and maintain scalable backend systems using Core Java, Spring Boot and Microservices. You will implement RESTful APIs, apply OOP and design patterns, and contribute to system design and performance tuning.

The role requires hands-on coding, collaboration with frontend, DevOps and QA, and participation in CI/CD pipelines and Agile/Scrum practices.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in Core Java and J2EE development.
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.
• Solid experience in building REST APIs.
• In-depth knowledge of OOP, design patterns, and data structures.
• Strong understanding of multithreading and concurrency in Java.
• Experience in system design and scalable application development.
• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes (basic), and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems (Git).
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
