Job summary

Mployee.me is seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer to design, build, and optimize scalable backend services. You will work on Spring Boot-based microservices, develop RESTful APIs, and ensure robust data handling with SQL databases.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams and adherence to Agile practices are essential. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of hands-on Java backend experience, strong knowledge of Java ecosystems, and a passion for clean, maintainable code.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional experience in Java backend development.
• Strong knowledge of Core Java, OOP, Collections, Exception Handling, Multithreading, and Java 8+ features.
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
• Good experience in Microservices architecture and development.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, and API integration.
• Good experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with JPA/Hibernate.
• Knowledge of Maven/Gradle build tools.
• Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket.
• Good understanding of Unit Testing using JUnit/Mockito.
• Understanding of design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain robust backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and maintain Microservices-based applications using Spring Boot.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
• Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable Java code.
• Work with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar RDBMS.
• Implement business logic, data validation, exception handling, and API security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, performance bottlenecks, and production defects.
