Capco Technologies Pvt Ltd in Chennai is seeking a Java Backend Developer to design and develop backend services using Java 8+ and Spring Boot. You will build RESTful APIs, integrate with Oracle and MongoDB, and ensure performance and security. Collaboration with ISPL and Paris teams is required.

The role expects 2–5 years of experience, strong coding standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced financial-tech environment. Chennai-based with onsite work expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• 2–5 years of experience as described in the job posting
• Proficient in Java 8+ and Spring Boot
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices
• Experience with Oracle or MongoDB databases
• Knowledge of UML, DevOps, IntelliJ, and CI/CD pipelines

Job Description:

Job Title: Java Backend developer (2-5 years) Chennai

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities Design and develop backend services using Java 8+, Spring boot & JUnit. Build and maintain robust RESTful APIs. Integrate with Oracle/MongoDB and ensure performance and security. Ensure coding standards are followed Ensure collaboration, good rapport & teamwork with ISPL and Paris team members

Contributing Responsibilities Take ownership and commit towards quality deliverables within estimated timelines, avoiding global schedule shift Participate in code reviews and documentation process. Contribute to continuous improvement in development practices processes and code quality. Participation in projects meetings: fine-tuning, daily, retrospective. Collaboration with the team members: the ability to collect, analyze, synthesize and present information in a clear, concise and precise way

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Expert in Java 8+, Spring Boot Expert in RESTful API , Microservices & Design patterns Experience in Oracle / MongoDB Junit and Spring boot testing frameworks and code quality tools like Sonar Clean coding practices Maven, Gitlab CI and swagger tools Beginner/Intermediate in Angular Knowledge in Docker , Kubernetes
