Job summary

Capco Technologies Pvt Ltd in Chennai seeks a Senior Java Core Developer to design, develop, and deliver backend services with strong Java and Spring Boot expertise. You will collaborate with architects and cross-functional teams to implement scalable solutions for financial services clients.

The role emphasizes backend delivery, with frontend as a secondary focus, and requires experience in banking IT, agile practices, and robust testing practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent in IT/engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years of IT software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java 8+ and Spring Boot 3.x.
• Experience with Angular and frontend technologies (HTML/JS/CSS).
• Knowledge of databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and deployment on Tomcat.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, discuss, and document solution architecture with leads and architects.
• Primarily backend development with frontend as secondary skill.
• Develop, test, and deliver robust software with unit/integration tests.
• Collaborate with external vendors and delivery teams for product delivery.
• Follow Scrum/Agile ceremonies and contribute to technical decisions.

MAKE AN IMPACT Job Description: Experience:5.1-7 yrs Direct Responsibilities Analyze, Discuss, Document Solution architecture and design with leads and architects. Do backend development primarily and frontend development as secondary skill. Perform quality Unit, Integration tests (Test & Business Driven Development is preferred.) Engage with external vendor consultancy development and delivery team and do effective collaboration for delivery and development of product. Assist test team in performance & endurance testing. Write technical specifications. Propose technical solutions and improvements proactively, based on pros and cons after analysis of the various options. Prepare technical deliveries and support implementation by integration teams following the processes and tools of the bank. Contribute to key and strategic projects. Follow scrum agile ceremonies with discipline and responsibility. Contributing Responsibilities Technical & Behavioral Competencies General knowledge about private banking, asset management or corporate banking Regulatory Framework, Compliance projects Specific Qualifications: Minimum 1-year experience in the banking & finance IT industry (Very Good to have). 5-7 years and above experience in IT Software Development industry (Mandatory).
