Job summary

Comviva is seeking a skilled backend engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot. You will build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices, integrate with databases and external systems, and ensure secure, efficient communication across services.

Collaborative cross‑functional work across telecom/e‑commerce domains is expected, with active participation in Agile ceremonies.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Core Java and OOP concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Strong experience building, enhancing, and optimizing REST APIs.
• Experience with Spring MVC and Spring JDBC frameworks.
• Knowledge of database design and performance tuning for SQL/NoSQL databases (incl. MongoDB).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build, enhance, and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices based on requirements.
• Modify and improve existing backend services for performance and scalability.
• Integrate backend services with databases, enterprise systems, and external APIs.

• Document enhancements and decisions to backend services.
