Job summary

Saaki Argus & Averil Consulting is seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer in Chennai to join our IT service team. The role requires deep expertise in Spring Boot, microservices, RESTful APIs, and database design. You will design scalable backend systems, optimize performance, and contribute to robust, cloud-based solutions.

The position is office-based in Chennai, with immediate to 30 days notice. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment and implement CI/CD

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Java backend development.
• Proficient in Spring Boot, microservices, and RESTful API design.
• Strong understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and service orchestration.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable backend services using Java/Spring Boot.
• Design enterprise-grade backend architectures with a focus on performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
• Work with Kafka for event-driven architectures and ensure fault tolerance.

Job Title: Java Backend Developer

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Java Backend Engineer skilled in Spring Boot, microservices, and RESTful API development.
• Design and scale enterprise-grade backend systems with a focus on performance, reliability, and clean architecture.
• Expertise in Java, OOP, SOLID principles, and service orchestration is essential.
• Strong experience in SQL/NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) with query optimization skills.
• Work with Apache Kafka for event-driven systems ensuring fault tolerance and idempotency.
• Deploy and manage services on AWS (EC2, ECS, Lambda, Fargate) using CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Ensure code quality with JUnit, Mockito, and REST Assured testing frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
• Monitor services, optimize performance, and maintain high system uptime.
• Experience with Linux scripting and logging/monitoring tools is required.
• Exposure to React or frontend technologies is a plus, not mandatory.
