Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Backend Developer role based in Chennai, focusing on Java and Spring Boot development. The Backend Developer will design, build, and maintain scalable server-side applications and APIs, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability. Daily responsibilities include implementing new features, optimizing existing code, integrating with databases and third-party services, and collaborating with frontend developers, QA engineers, and product teams. The role involves working within microservices architectures, troubleshooting production issues, performing code reviews, and following best practices for clean code, testing, and documentation. The Backend Developer will also contribute to technical design discussions and support continuous improvement of development processes and tools.

Qualifications

• Strong programming foundation with proficiency in Java and experience in general Software Development.
• Hands-on experience with the Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, for building enterprise-grade backend services.
• Practical knowledge of Microservices architecture, including designing, developing, and deploying distributed services.
• Understanding of backend design principles, RESTful APIs, and integration with relational or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and use of testing frameworks in Java ecosystems.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) and CI/CD pipelines is an advantage.
