Job summary

Ascendion Engineering is seeking an experienced cloud-native software engineer to design, develop, and debug microservices using Java, Golang, Spring Boot, and AWS technologies. You will contribute to architecture, API specs, and database schemas while collaborating with scrum teams to ensure quality and security.

The role requires strong English communication, 6+ years in cloud-native apps, and hands-on experience with cloud security and reviews.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in building scalable cloud-native applications.
• Proficient in different AWS tech stacks.
• Practitioner of cloud security, privacy, and compliance
• Bachelor or masters in computer science or related fields.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; mastery in English
• Must be able to contribute to design and code reviews and help other team members in troubleshooting/problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Participate and produce high-level and low-level designs which include component diagrams, sequence diagrams, technology choices, API specs, Database schemas.

Must have Skills:

• Java, Springboot, JPA, REST, Microservice pattern & related technologies
• Webservices and web-frameworks
• Database - No SQL(Mongo), MySQL
• AWS core constructs - Lambda, SNS/SQS, S3, KMS, EC2, Secret Manager, Cloudwatch, API GW, VPC, Loadbalancer
• Splunk or Datadog APM
• Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• Kubernetes and containerized workloads
• CI/CD and DevOps practices, preferably Azure Devops knowledge

Good to have:
