Job summary

Capgemini is seeking an experienced Java developer to design, build, test, deploy, and maintain large-scale Java applications on the AWS cloud using a Spring Boot microservices architecture.

The role requires 6-9 years of hands-on experience with Java, AWS Lambda, and Spring Boot, plus proficiency in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) and scripting (Bash/Python) for automation. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure software solutions.

Qualifications

• 6-9 years of experience developing Java applications on AWS with Lambda functions.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain large-scale Java applications on AWS cloud platform using Spring Boot microservices architecture.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify requirements and design solutions that meet business needs.
  
• Ensure high availability, scalability, security, performance, and reliability of the application by implementing best practices in coding standards.
  
• Troubleshoot issues related to application deployment, scaling, monitoring using tools like ELK stack (Elasticsearch Logstash Kibana).
  
• Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and quality guidelines.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• 6-9 years of experience in developing Java applications on AWS cloud platform with expertise in AWS Lambda functions.
  
• Strong understanding of Spring Boot framework for building microservices architecture.
  
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools for automated testing and deployment.
  
• Proficiency in shell scripting languages such as Bash or Python for automating tasks.
