Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Java professional to design, develop, and deploy microservices using Spring Boot on AWS. The role requires 7–10 years of IT experience and hands-on Java 8, microservices, and containerization.

You will work with distributed teams, implement CI/CD with Maven and uDeploy, and ensure high-quality, scalable Java code. Strong SQL skills (Oracle or MongoDB) and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of IT experience (mandatory).
• Hands-on Java 8, Spring Boot and microservices.
• Experience deploying Java Spring Boot microservices on AWS (EKS/ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway).
• Strong Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift skills.
• Experience with SQL databases (Oracle or MongoDB).
• Strong communication and analytical skills; team distributed.

Responsibilities

• Design high quality deliverables with standards and patterns in Java.
• Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance Java code.
• Develop/integrate code with CI/CD using Maven and uDeploy.
• Collaborate with geographically distributed teams.
• Review code modules of juniors.
• Continuously improve development processes.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Experience Range: - 07 To 10 Years (Mandatory)

(Note: Candidates below 7 years of IT experience shall not be considered)

Must Have Skills:

• Hands on experience in Java 8 and Spring Boot, Microservices (primary skills)
• Secondary skills required: SQL and one database such as Oracle or MongoDB.
• Experience designing, developing, and deploying Java Spring Boot microservices on AWS using services like EKS/ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, and API Gateway is required.
• Well versed with Lambda expressions.
• Experience in Docker, Kubernetes / Open Shift is also expected.
• Good command of code version management.
• Experience in unit testing frameworks.
• Roles require interaction with developers distributed across locations.
• Good communication Skills, Good analytical skills.

Good To Have Skills:

• Unix Commands
• Investment Banking exposure

Responsibilities or Expectations from the Role:

• Design high quality deliverables adhering to business requirement with defined standards and design principles, patterns in Java
• Develop and maintain highly scalable, high performance code in Java
• Develop/Integrate the code adhering to CI/CD, using Maven and uDeploy
• Should be able to work with a team who might be geographically distributed.
• Review the code modules developed by other juniors.
• Continuously look for improvement opportunity in the development process
